Importance Of pH Balance

A healthy body has no odour (body, breath or foot) and has no aches and pains. A healthy person’s urine or stool does not smell. They sleep soundly, have boundless energy at any age, have no skin rashes or dandruff and rarely have infections. Keeping the body pH balanced is the key to good health.

Testing the pH balance of the body will give an effective overview of health. It does not diagnose disease but will indicate the ability of the body to respond to external bacteria, stressors and dietary changes.

The body becomes primed for some diseases – even those we class as ‘degenerative’ such as arthritis, Alzheimer’s etc – when it becomes too acidic. Having an alkaline environment is crucial to good health. Sodium, calcium, potassium, magnesium and iron contribute to an alkaline environment. Chemicals, stress and animal protein are some of the contributors to an acidic environment.

The blood has to function within a narrow pH range and, if operating within an acidic environment will put stress on other tissues and systems within the body in order to maintain its alkalinity. Low energy, fatigue, excess weight, poor digestion and aches and pains are all symptoms of a poor body pH.
